charice pempengco and celine dion duet at the madison square garden – a must see for all pinoys

charice pempengco is a 16 year old pinay who started her singing career in the philippines. she joined many singing contests and his biggest claim to fame in the country is a 2nd place finish in an abs-cbn singing contest.

ellen degeneres saw her youtube posting and was so impressed with her that ellen invited charice to perform in her  The Ellen DeGeneres TV show. she floored everyone in her first US national tv performance.

another US TV great saw her, oprah and did the same thing – she invited charice to perform in her own tv show. but did not end there, oprah took a very strong liking of charice and her talent that oprah became one of her biggest backers in the US.

oprah introduced charice to david foster a music great in america and set up a charice to perform a duet with celine dion in her concert at madison square garden.
