nike has used the offensive athlete on a cross visual before

nike has used the same offensive athlete on the cross image in england before and has caused the same kind of reactions. it is a very similar idea to that of the manny pacquiao ad and the same kind of being offensive to religion.

    That isn’t a player being crucified it is the English Flag. The cross might have been in reference to a previously more pious nation. However it is in this guise clearly nothing to do with religion.

    anyone choosing to be offended by this image is an mentally subnormal.

    This post shows a woeful understanding of English culture. As my fellow visitor pointed out this image is Rooney painted with the St George’s flag as many, MANY English fans will be during the world cup and any England match.
