words to remember during the mass before amiel was laid to rest

from pepe – God is a poor warehouseman. He did not seem to understand that it should be “First-In, First-Out”, it isn’t fair.

a boy from grade 3 approached him during the wake. the grade 3 boy gave him an envelope that contained P110.00  in it. pepe asked him what it was for. the grade 3 boy said, amiel would lend him money from time to time and he wanted to return the money to amiel. pepe told the boy, he did not have to return the money, it was for him. the grade 3 boy said – no, i have to return the money. i promised i would pay him back.

that story says a lot about the character of amiel. amiel is in grade 4, that boy who wanted to return the money was in grade 3. it is amazing that amiel, a grade 4 boy will actually help a grade 3 boy.

from amiel’s older brother: he said amiel always wanted to be “legendary”. the older brother said, well he has achieved his dream, he is more than legendary now.

AMIEL ALCANTARA – A MAN FOR OTHERS

The story of Amiel’s lending a helping hand to other students, his desire to play fair, and his being a boy scout speak of his selflessness. Amiel lived out the spirit of being a “man for others”. He is truly a blue eagle, NOT a blue vulture.
