ateneo mom’s sentiment on aftermath of amiel alcantara’s death – ateneo needs to do more, quickly

when we sent an email to the ateneo mom to ask her permission for us to publish her email in this blog, this was the reply she gave us.

we thought her reply contained more than just her permission for us to post her email here. we suspect the sentiment she expressed in her email is shared by many other parents.

let us hear your sentiments, post a comment.

i give you my permission without any hesitation.

i am of the opinion that ateneo hasn’t done enough in the last 50 days or so from the incident. i am actually appalled at their seeming apathy towards the situation. their solution seems to have ended with the creation of a multi-stakeholder committee. who sits on the committee or even whether the committee even really produces anything of real value — these seem to have taken second priority.

these are my opinions. i will willingly take back my words if i am proven wrong.

i cannot agree more with this ateneo mom. nothing seems to be happening with the multi-stakeholder committee. are we up for a big disappointment in june?

sana naman wag mangyari yan sa opening ng school. they owe it to us parents that something substantial is done. we pay the tuition, our sons are at risk. maling mali kung wala silang gagawin.

i had sent an email to the ateneo email address 4 weeks ago, no reply from them yet.
