shell philippines’ 24/7 promo – a waste of funds and lazy marketing

consumer promotions are not meant to be done on a 24/7 basis. it’s meant to pump up volume sales and market share on a limited time basis. the idea is to use the consumer promotion to get in new triers and increased purchase of regualr users and hopefully some of them stay on as regular purchasers, specially among the new triers.

rather than do consumer promotions 24/7, shell should just use the finds allocated for those in a more meanigful marketing effort.
