poll that readers will not vote, do not want to win the 2010 election – closed

we are closing this poll for now and will re-open on december 1 when the official list of presidentiables are available.

2010 presidentiables you will not vote

name 3 presidentiables who MUST NOT WIN the 2010 presidential election

we have either made up our minds or we are in the process of deciding which presidentiable we will vote in the 2010 elections.

on the other side of our brain, though, is a list of presidentiables who we know we will not vote, no matter what happens. in fact we have a list of presidentiables that we are convinced MUST NOT WIN the 2010 election. these are presidentiables that give us nightmares every time we think of the possibility they will win in the 2010 election. some describe the feeling that if a certain presidentiable wins, it will be time to move to a foreign country to migrate.

let us know who these presidentiables are who you think MUST NOT WIN THE 2010  ELECTION. you are allowed to vote 3 presidentiables. the program will not allow you to cast your votes more than once.

please make a comment – let us know the reason behind your vote.

select 3 presidentiables
you WILL NOT  vote and MUST NOT WIN

vote in the Vice-Presidentiable Poll here: mar roxas takes commanding lead at 43% in 2010 Vice-Presidentiable Poll

november 7, 2009; 9pm
estrada continue to be  the top presidentiable who will not be voted and respondents do not want to win the 2010 election in this poll, at erap estrada leads in poll 23%.  aquino is gaining at 2nd with a close 21%. velarde jumped to 3rd at 16% behind a recent surge.

november 3, 2009, 10pm
erap estrada leads all presidentiables readers will not vote and do not win the 2010 election with 25%. noynoy aquino follows at 2nd with 20%. mike velarde is 3rd at 13%, then jamby madrigal at 4th with 12%.

October 29, 2009 – 7am
on day 3,  major changes occurred in this poll as a deluge of voters participate in the poll. topping the poll on the presidentiable readers will NOT vote and must NOT win the presidential election is estrada at 30%. villar comes in 2nd at 17% and followed by aquino who is at 3rd with 14%.

it is interesting that in this poll on who readers will NOT vote and who must NOT win the presidential election, they are the same presidentiables who have topped the SWS poll on who they think are the best leaders to succeed president arroyo in 2010. (click to read this: september 2009 SWS presidentiable poll :noynoy aquino’s spectacular rise to front runner is magical)

we think this is happening as the top contenders in the SWS poll being the leaders also have readers who do not favor them or knowing that they are competitors, the supporters of any of the top 3 tend to list the other two cmpetitors are presidentiables they will not vote and should not win.

October 27, 2009 – Day 1, october 27, 9pm
we were very surprised that many voted in this poll just on day 1 of the start of this poll. we find it quite interesting that readers find this poll of presidentiables they will not vote and they do not want to win to be  as interesting as the typical poll of asking respondents to vote for the presidentiable they want to win.

on day 1, erap estrada is ahead at 18%, followed by madrigal at 2nd with 16%, velarde at 3rd with 13%. the 4th to 6th rank is shared by teodoro, villar and de castro tied at 9%.

The question should plainly be or the title should be, “Presidentiables that MUST NOT WIN in the 2010 Elections.” The term “I WILL NOT VOTE” and “MUST NOT WIN” should not be clustered or joined because they denote different basis for answering.

When you say YOU WILL NOT VOTE for that candidate it does not necessarily mean that you also say that the candidate MUST NOT WIN in the elections.

For example I will not vote for Noynoy Aquino but I will definitely not include him in the list of those WHO MUST NOT WIN nor will I include Bro. Eddie Villanueva or Sen. Richard Gordon because there are certain qualities in them which makes them qualified and also worth winning.

I suggest that this poll concentrate on WHO MUST NOT WIN since there is already a poll on WHO WILL YOU VOTE.

    Thanks!

the readers/voters will understand the way they want to and vote accordingly.

      • October 27, 2009 at 11:38 pm

The poll should have a clear question and not two questions which have separate and very distinct connotation from each other.

        • October 29, 2009 at 7:50 am

while they are 2 questions, they are natural partners, highly related and very clearly define the intent of the poll. readers will vote according to how each question shapes up in their minds.

erap is no surprise, of course. but then again, he is among the top 3 in the sws polls, so we can’t really tell.

i guess most of the respondents were mislead when they took the poll. i can see that the top 3 presidentiables are the ones who are also leading in the surveys in terms of winnability. just an opinion that i hope the topic starter should consider. thanks!

    • October 29, 2009 at 7:48 am

this our analysis of the results of the poll: “we think this is happening as the top contenders in the SWS poll being the leaders also have readers who do not favor them or knowing that they are competitors, the supporters of any of the top 3 tend to list the other two cmpetitors are presidentiables they will not vote and should not win.”

it is natural for the top performing presidentiables in the SWS poll to have equally large number of readers who do not favor them. what they are doing is they are “voting” for the strong competitor presidentiable in this poll. we are guessing that this is a highly competitive presidential election and readers are showing that nature in this poll.

this is just day 3 of this poll, there will still be major changes in the coming days.

i have made a few adjustments to the write-up/instructions in that poll to make it even more obvious what is being asked in the poll. you raise a very good point. thanks.

I believe what we see in this blog speaks the real heart of those whom voters don’t want to vote and don’t want to win in the 2010 Presidential election. The result implies that voters know who will be qualified to succeed as President of the Republic of the Philippines. Still BRO. EDDIE VILLANUEVA kami. This Blog speaks of it, not the other way around. Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas.

In terms of color, you cannot make the black to white and white to black.

    • November 8, 2009 at 3:36 pm

Hindi lang naman unrighteous ang hindi boboto kay Noynoy sapagkat those that are also righteous might not vote for him because of his absence of platform.

i think, hindi naman tanga ang mga Pilipino para ma- mislead sa blog na ito.
naiintindihan at nababasa naman siguro ng lahat ng bumoboto sa poll na yan na iboboto nila ung ayaw nilang manalo sa election

Good poll. I definitely agree. First, Erap should stop dreaming. He was a total disgrace. Second, Noynoy should stop thinking that he’s the embodiment of Ninoy and Cory, definitely not. He’s just carrying their names but not their real political aspirations.

And lastly, Kris Aquino should stop being “taray”. Kawawa raw ang BIR kapag ipagbawal ang mga shows niya… ganito ba ang kapatid ng magiging pangulo, mayabang? Sorry Kris but that’s what I observed.
