if you like to receive a free birthday cake on your birthday, binay might be the president for you.

that is just one small part of the paradise that binay is promising to turn the philippines into, just like the paradise he made in makati city.

antonio trillanes – no money, in jail, no campaigning but voted senator

the above video shows antonio trillanes, the most unlikely senatorial candidate to win, being sworn in as one of the country’s senators.  trillanes, a former military man led a mutiny and took over a residential hotel in makati city. he later ran for senator while in jail, had no money, was not able to campaign but that didn’t matter as he won anyway.

he had a few tv ads, obviously low budget, but that didn’t matter as well as his lack of funds did not enable him to air a lot of it on tv. so these are ads that very few saw. but win, he did.
