To the Alcantara Family,
I wish to extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you. Although I am not an Ateneo parent, your situation has affected me so much. I went to Amiel’s wake last Thursday just to give my Mass card. I remember Mr. Alcantara looking at me wondering who in the world I was but I decided to just stay a couple of pews away until the end of the tribute of the Boy Scouts. I just handed the Mass card to Amiel’s tita before I left. I couldn’t even go near the coffin–I was crying from start to finish. I feel the family’s pain.
May God always be by your side. When it feels like you cannot bear the pain anymore, always remember what Amiel would have wanted. With his sweet and generous nature, he would want you, his family, to gradually move on and make the most out of life.
