willie revillame returns to wowowee

Willie makes triumphant return to ‘Wowowee’

MANILA – Six weeks after going on indefinite leave from the show, controversial TV host Willie Revillame returned to his top-rating noontime show “Wowowee” Monday to a grand “Will-come back” party.

Some fans and supporters and “Wowowee” staff wore red and white shirts with “We love you, Willie” and “Will-come back” messages.

When he emerged onstage, the audience cheered and applauded as they chanted his name. Revillame went around the studio to greet his supporters who reached out to hug and kiss him or even shake his hand.

Popular cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo and her daughter, Cristalle Henares, and “Bench” owner Ben Chan were also in the audience. Revillame is the celebrity endorser of Belo Medical Group and clothing line Bench.

“Sa almost two months na wala ako, lumuluha ako. Lumuluha ako, nagdurugo ang puso ko dahil hindi ko kayo kapiling. Pero lahat ng kalungkutan na iyon napawi na dahil muli ko kayong makakasama ngayong araw na ito,” he said.

He added: “Bawal na ang mainit na ulo. Pag may nagkamali palakpakan na lang natin.”

Revillame took an indefinite leave from “Wowowee” after drawing criticisms generated by his order to cut the live streaming of former president Corazon Aquino’s funeral procession last August 3.

Revillame, who is rumored to be eyeing the vice presidential post in the 2010 elections, is expected to announce his political plan before his show ends on Monday.

Willie Revillame back on Sept. 21 – MTRCB

MANILA – The Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) confirmed on Friday that controversial host Willie Revillame will be back on ABS-CBN’s popular noontime show “Wowowee” on Monday, September 21 after a one-and-a-half month leave from the show.

The confirmation was made by MTRCB Board Member Paulino Cases during a budget hearing in the Senate. He said Revillame’s leave was done to prevent the MTRCB from suspending the airing of “Wowowee”.

“ABS-CBN proposed that instead of the program being suspended or removed from the air for some time, they would extend the leave of the host Mr. Revillame for about three weeks. That would be from August 8 to September 20, because there will be a lot of people affected in that program if in fact we would render a decision to suspend the show… Of course, Mr. Revillame did not accede to that but it was imposed upon him by ABS-CBN,” Cases said.

The MTRCB official said Revillame’s leave was the decision of ABS-CBN management since the MTRCB only monitors and sanctions programs, not the people behind it.

pantene shampoo tv ad – shine it did not

September 23, 2009 Leave a comment

this is an enjoyable tv ad to watch. but ads are supposed to do more than just make us enjoy watching it. this ad fails in that part.

i forgot – this is a tv ad for pantene, a shampoo brand. yes, shampoo for the hair. but lets not get into that. its not that important.

the other part that this ad is asking us is what science fiction movies asks us to do and it is the only way we can appreciate this tv ad. we all know what science fiction movies are – they are make believe, the exact meaning of the word “fiction”. the only way we can appreciate a science fiction movie is for us to suspend logic, throw away common sense, ignore truth and yes forget about science. there is much irony there – to enjoy a science fiction movie, we need to forget science.

that is the only way to do it. in a science fiction movie, we need to believe super heroes are real. humans in human life forms can fly and women have super powers. if we don’t do it that way, there is no point in watching the movie as none of it will make sense.

House to set rules for RH debate – passage now or never

September 22, 2009 Leave a comment

looks like the passage of the RH Bill will soon come to a head. the bill has been in congress for a very long time and with the long delay credit is given to its opponents as they have been successful in delaying it forever.

we hope congress will finally act on it.

House to set rules for RH debate
It’s now or never for controversial bill—solons

MANILA, Philippines—The leadership of the House of Representatives will meet on Tuesday to finalize the rules and procedures for the debates on the reproductive health bill in order to bring the controversial measure to a vote before the 14th Congress adjourns next year.

According to Majority Leader and Iloilo Rep. Arthur Defensor, proponents and opponents of the measure will meet with Speaker Prospero Nograles Tuesday to discuss how to tackle the bill after some of the opponents rejected the proposal to form two panels to handle the plenary debates.

Nograles earlier ordered the formation of two panels representing backers and opponents of the bill in order to simplify the debates. He also said that both sides should agree to a timetable so that “personal divisive emotional matters” would not hamper the process, and voting would be able to take place.

If debates are prolonged and voting does not take place before the end of the 14th Congress, the reproductive health bill will have to be refiled in the next Congress, which would then have to repeat the entire process of committee and plenary debates.

The Catholic Church has been campaigning hard to defeat the bill, which allows the promotion of both natural and artificial birth control methods in government health centers and mandates sex education classes in all schools.

major blow to teodoro – foreign affairs sec romulo supports aquino

September 22, 2009 1 comment

romulo declaring he is supporting noynoy aquino and not gilbert teodoro,  LAKAS-KAMPI and admin presidential candidate is a major blow and embarassment to the administration and teodoro’s candidacy.

it is not as much as number of votes as romulo is not a politician nor do we think he has a political base but it is a huge psychological and morale disaster for the administration party. romulo is a senior official of the arroyo administration.

arroyo in london – no lavish dinners, just room service. lesson learned? guilt feelings?

September 20, 2009 Leave a comment

arrroyo is once again abroad, this time in london. the good part is that arroyo seem to have learned her lesson – her presidential staff says no more 1 million peso dinners, just room service. that is good. learning their lesson is also a good thing.

it also says they know what they did before in new york was wrong and has displeased the country. but then again, we should wait a few days after she returns to the country after her trip. we are sure the press and patriots will be looking for proof that in fact no lavish dinners were involved in this trip. abangan ang susunod na kabanata…

MANILA, Philippines – After the furor over the lavish dinners in New York and Washington, D.C., President Macapagal-Arroyo’s delegation is claiming to be scrimping and penny-pinching, eating out of their hotel rooms in London.

“We just eat in our rooms. Room service na lang [only],” Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said in a phone interview.

is the LAKAS-KAMPI process for choosing their standard bearer all a sham? was bayani fernando a victim of a set-up?

September 19, 2009 Leave a comment

in fact we think everyone knew that teodoro will be chosen as the standard bearer even before the meeting was started. the process of question and answer then closed door voting is just for show.

everybody seemed to know that, perhaps except by fernando. noli de castro seemed to know about it, too. we say that as de castro very smartly was non-committal to the ruling party and in fact never said he will be the standard bearer of LAKAS-KAMPI. he also did not bother to attend the “selection process”. we suppose he knew that being present in the selection process gave it some kind of legitimacy.

Noynoy Aquino’s handling of survey results – first major tactical blunder of noynoy

September 16, 2009 Leave a comment

the tactical blunder is that aquino has inadvertently set up his audience and supporters for disappointment. he may have set the bar of expectations way too high.

political campaigns is very much about image building. building an image of being a winner is certainly one of the things you want to have. you want to nurture an image of momentum if not greatness or at least always being on the right thing.

the safest and smartest approach is always to downplay achievements, or hit the lower side so that there is an automatic claim of success. raising the bar too high is a very dangerous thing as it does not leave room for failure which is what aquino has done.

congress plans to tax cellphone texting – “tax the people to the bone”

September 10, 2009 1 comment

there is a bill in congress that intends to tax every SMS text by 5 centavos. the philippines is the world’s most avid texters, we send the most everyday in the world and that is what congress wants to exploit. i suppose this is on top of the VAT that telcos pay in our behalf when we buy load.

the text to the filipino is one of the most precious things for us. it is one of very few things in our economic life that cost only 1 peso or is some less than a peso. you know the joke we make, there is nothing that cost P1 anymore, well except sending texts.

PDI article

PDI article

we think this is wrong and not just on the economic costs to people, as the senator said – it is taxing the people to the bone, it is in priciple wrong in governance.

we understand the government need tzxes to fund its operations and programs for the people and taxes is where they get it. i don’t mind taxes, but whayt i mind is adding taxes because of its own inability in doing its job.

the BIR and customs have perenially been falling short of their collection targets. many of the reasons for this shortfall is that they are not performing their jobs properly both because of corruption – intentionally not collecting the right taxes in lieu of a “commission”  and inefficiency.

putting tax on texting is the easy way out to get more revenues. reforming the tax laws, getting good, honest and efficient managers and workers at the BIR and customs, improving efficiencies and plugging loopholes are too much work for them. it’s much easier and in fact involves much less work to just tax texting.

in the latter, they do not have to think or do anything. no need to change the ways and to look at people – all you need to do is burden the people all because they themselves are inefficent, lazy and corrupt.

putting tax on texting is wrong for many reasons and it’s not wrong just because it taxes the people to the bone.

‘Tax poor people to the bone? No way’—Enrile

MANILA, Philippines—A consumer group, an economic adviser to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and the head of the Senate said the proposed tax on text messages would be an additional burden on the country’s 72 million mobile phone users.

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile said he would oppose the House bill seeking to impose a tax on text messages.

“This will not pass in the Senate with that kind of version. I will not vote for it,” Enrile told reporters.

“Tax poor people to the bone? No way, I will not agree.”

“To rebel against this new tax law is justified,” TXTPower leader Anthony Ian Cruz said as he warned legislators seeking reelection in next year’s national polls of a backlash.

Albay Gov. Joey Salceda said raising the cost of text messages would penalize ordinary Filipinos, especially those who depend entirely on text messages to communicate with their relatives or friends working abroad.

“Effectively, this is an OFW (overseas Filipino worker) tax. Tax on text is bad economic and social policy,” said Salceda, who plans to recommend the rejection of the measure to the President.

mikey arroyo changes story on unexplained wealth – was not wedding gifts and campaign contributions that made him rich, his rich wife did. admits he looked stupid in interview.

September 8, 2009 1 comment

with this new revelations, we think mikey arroyo hired a new lawyer and hired a PR agency to save his pride, dignity  and skin from the disastrous tv interview he had with winnie monsod.mikey arroyo admits he looked stupid in interview

he now says what he said on tv was not true – he just got confused, in fact he admits he looked stupid in the interview because of the skills of winnie monsod as an interviewer.

we are supposed to believe that what he said in the interview – huge sums of money as wedding gifts and huge sums of campaign contribution contributed to his wealth were not true. that all of a sudden like magic there are documents that were submitted that shows it’s the wealth of his wife that made him rich. interesting that he forgot about the documents. very convenient.

contrary to what he almost said during the interview that his lawyers made a mistake in filing the documents, it appears now they did the right thing after all.

i like the title  of the PDI article – it speaks volumes. that is how he explained his unexplained wealth.

we don’t know if mikey was able to save his own skin  with these new revelations, it being on the legal side. we are sure though he was unable to save his pride and dignity.

 MANILA, Philippines—The embattled elder son of President Macapagal-Arroyo produced new documents on Tuesday showing that his personal fortune zoomed in 2002 after he married a scion of an old-rich family.

Pampanga Representative Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo produced a supplemental Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) that his lawyers supposedly filed in his behalf in August 2003, more than a year after his wedding to Angela Montenegro, to dispel allegations he had enriched himself in office.

Arroyo said he made a mistake when he attributed the spike in his wealth to the wedding presents and campaign contributions he received when he ran for Congress in 2004, after it was shown that his campaign fund declarations with the Commission on Elections did not list any significant donations.

“I feel there has been a lot of misunderstanding about the statements I made during my appearance on GMA 7’s Unang Hirit… due to my inability to cope with the rapid-fire questioning of (economist Winnie) Monsod. I respect her, and though her questioning made me look bad or stupid, I guess very few people can actually really stand up to questioning on live TV before millions of people,’’ Arroyo said in an interview over dzRH radio.

“there were no more lifeboats” – SuperFerry 9 passenger

September 8, 2009 1 comment

another maritime accident! the philippines has not learned its lesson. government agencies continue not to do their job in implementing rules and safeguarding passengers. private companies have not changed their ways.

while this one did not have a lot of fatalities, it does show nothing much has changed. based on the reports, these are the most disturbing:

  • “not enough lifeboats”
  • there was no clear order from the captain to abandon ship
  • the boat left port already tilting
  • it looks like the action of abandoning the ship was given too late

when will we ever learn?

Just like the Titanic minus the icebergs
By Julie Alipala, Ryan Rosauro

ZAMBOANGA CITY—Mothers prayed for help, children were heaved into the sea and others fought for lifeboats in the terrifying moments before the SuperFerry 9 went down to its doom off Zamboanga del Norte Sunday morning.

In gripping accounts they gave Philippine Daily Inquirer correspondents, survivors compared the horror they went through in the dying moments of the 7,000-ton ship to what happened to the British liner Titanic, minus the icebergs nearly a century ago.

“It was like Titanic Filipino-style. It was as though we were in the movie but all of it happened,” survivor Raffy Borro said. He also said there was a shortage of life jackets and life rafts.

“People fought for them. It was cold. It was dark. That was why people were afraid to jump into the sea,” Borro recalled, speaking in Filipino.

“When the ship tilted sharply, many people ran and panicked. Children were crying, mothers were also crying and pleading for help.”

Mikey Arroyo didn’t list campaign donations
By Vera Files
Philippine Daily Inquirer
First Posted 02:22:00 09/07/2009

MANILA, Philippines—Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo did not declare to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) the campaign contributions that he said he received when he ran for Congress in 2004 and 2007.

Mikey said on national television on Tuesday that campaign contributions and wedding gifts were partly the reason his declared net worth ballooned from P5.7 million in 2001 to P74.4 million in 2004, and then to P99.2 million last year.

Mikey wed his second cousin Angela Arroyo Montenegro in 2002.

The numbers say Mikey’s net worth grew by more than 1,600 percent in the seven years that he has been a public official.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s eldest son, a one-time movie actor, became vice governor of Pampanga in 2001, and was elected congressman of the province’s second district in 2004 and 2007.

“Of course, first I got married. We received a lot of gifts. Then during campaigns, somehow we get contributions,” Mikey told Solita Monsod and Arnold Clavio, hosts of the morning show “Unang Hirit.”

But his statements of contributions and expenses for the last two elections show zero donations to his campaign, which he reported as having been funded from his own pocket.

Mikey declared campaign expenses of P483,000 in 2004 and P552,876.15 in 2007. His 2007 spending included posters and leaflets, P246,740.10; gas and diesel, P88,332.80; meals, P148,560; rental of building, P40,000; and miscellaneous expenses, specifically financial assistance to indigents, P29,243.25.

The Omnibus Election Code requires candidates to file a “full, true and itemized statement of all contributions and expenditures in connection with the election” within 30 days after the election.

Protesters surround Mikey Arroyo's U.S. house - abs-cbn photo

FOSTER CITY, CA—Philippine Congressman Mikey Arroyo’s house had some very angry visitors this morning.

Filipino-American activists, chanting “Shame on you, you got caught!” staged a protest outside the home that is situated in the upscale planned community. They say they are disgusted that Arroyo, son of Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, bought the $1.3 million home and failed to declare it as part of his real estate assets.

“Of course there should be a clear investigation of how he got his wealth, where he is investing it,” said Terry Valen, chair of the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns. “It’s clear that this is not coming from his salary as a Philippine congressman.”

The protesters say they are not surprised that another Arroyo property in the Bay Area has been exposed.

Maria y Corazon By Dan Rivero A poem dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birthday and to the 40th day of Cory’s passing on September 8

Maria y Corazon
By Dan Rivero
A poem dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birthday and to the 40th day of Cory’s passing on September 8

Christ’s only mother, is how we call her;
She gave birth to Jesus, our only Savior.
Upon her “Yes” to the Messenger;
God has sent us a Deliverer.

Today we celebrate her birthday;
To her we give thanks, honor,love and pray;
For being a mother to Christ and all who pay–
Respect and gratitude your children here say.

There’s another woman who’s so dear us;
Very close, her name means “Heart”
Devout, pious, faithful and true
To Jesus and Mary she only pursued.

She restored democracy to our land;
And freedom to our shackled hand;
Moral governance became her legacy;
From Ninoy to Pinoys, dying became worthy.

Very timely on Cory’s 40th day of death;
Mary’s birthday today we never forget;
Truly the Lady in Blue welcomes the lady in Yellow;
Like a blue sky radiated with the sun’s glow.

Two women with one common vision–
Prayer and peace has been their mission;
Both depend on God, our loving Father;
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Brother.

PMA suspends hayden kho on the katrina halili-hayden kho sex scandal – what for?

September 4, 2009 1 comment

i don’t understand why the Philippine Medical Association suspended hayden kho. the reason is “conduct offensive to the profession”.

what was the conduct offensive to the profession? hayden kho had sex and videotaped it. he did that as a human being. he may have an unusual way of enjoy sex, video taping it, but that does not make it offensive. it’s a personal preference.

hayden kho did not have sex and most specially did not video tape it as an act of his prodession as a doctor nor did he use his profession to lure the other woman to have sex with him and to video tape it.

we are scandalized by what happened because the video recording was made public and senator revilla made a big deal of it. it was like porn released to the general public. but the release of the video recording was not done by dr. kho, someone else did it.

the possible fault of hayden kho was the charge that the woman in the video, katrina halili did not know their sex act was being recorded and no permission was sought from her to record it.

that fault has nothing to do with the practice of dr. kho’s medical profession. it is a legal matter but certainly not a matter for the  PMA. again, the alleged deception occurred not because of kho’s abuse or use of his medical profession.

kho did not tarnish the medical profession, he only tarnished his personal reputation. we now know as a human being kho is a jerk.

Docs’ group suspends Hayden Kho

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Medical Association (PMA) has suspended Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. for a year for “conduct offensive to the profession,” his lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Thursday.

“We were called to a hearing on September 2 by the PMA ethics committee to inform us of their decision to suspend my client’s membership for one year,” she later elaborated in a text message to the Inquirer.

Kapunan added, “My client respects the decision.”

This was echoed by Kho himself who said he would not contest PMA’s decision.

“I respect their decision … I’m happy with whatever is given to me. I’m actually ready for anything,” he said.

Kho was with Kapunan at the launching of the White Ribbon Day campaign. He even had a white ribbon pinned on his shirt.

The PMA started investigating Kho after actress Katrina Halili asked the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to revoke Kho’s license and ban him from practicing medicine, saying he was a disgrace to the medical profession.

Palace brands Noynoy retreat as ‘gimmickry’
By Christian V. Esguerra

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang is sensing political “gimmickry” in Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s so-called spiritual retreat before he decides on whether to run for president next year.

Gary Olivar, deputy presidential spokesperson, Thursday said the senator should “not just ride on sentimental support” in heeding the supposed clamor for him to seek the highest office in the land.

“We respect whatever gimmickry, whatever ways on how he can arrive at a decision,” Anthony Golez, another spokesperson, said in a media briefing.

Golez was commenting on impressions that Aquino might only be playing hard-to-get before eventually announcing his presidential bid in the May elections.

frankly, whatever noynoy does is none of their business. everything and anything that noynoy does on the issue of his candidacy and even all the other presidentiables have nothing to do with the office of the president – it does not affect them in any way and should not affect them. someone should bitch slap olivar to make him understand what his true role is.

TOP TEN REASONS WHY ELECTRIC CONSUMERS IN MINDANAO WILL OPPOSE THE SALE OF PULANGI & AGUS COMPLEXES

September 2, 2009 Leave a comment

HINDI DAPAT MAGING PAMBAYAD UTANG NG NAPOCOR ANG PAGBENTA SA AGUS AT PULANGI COMPLEXES.

This week, I was one of those seated at the conference room of City Council of Iligan.

I was listening to officials of Lanao Power Consumers Federation (Lapocof) express  their vehement opposition to the present administration’s plan to sell Agus and Pulangi complexes in 2011.

Whether income that would be derived from this planned sale will be used to pay for the soaring debt of Napocor, is something that I still need to know.

You may ask me what is the relation of this Agus and Pulangi Complexes  to our lives? My answer is “look at your ceiling and stare your lights.. be it bulb, fluorescent or chandelier… stare at your electric fans, TVs, air conditioners and your electric socket.”

These complexes are the sources of electricity generated by our hydro power plants. And yes, the government is selling these by 2011. So I am inviting you to read the reasons why electric consumers, local officials and NPC officials are opposing this sale.

———

August 28, 2009

This is with regards to a crucial provision of RA 9136 of 2001, the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) which is vital to the development, welfare and future of the whole Mindanao. This is the sale of the Agus/Pulangi Hydro Complexes by 2011.

Chapter V of the EPIRA, Sec 47 (f) “The Agus and the Pulangi complexes in Mindanao shall be excluded from among the generation companies that will be initially privatized… Said complexes may be privatized not earlier than ten (10) years from the effectivity of this Act. The privatization of Agus and Pulangui Complexes shall be left to the discretion of PSALM Corp., in consultation with Congress. READ FULL TEXT & RELATED STORY….

mikey arroyo embarasses himself on live national tv, winnie monsod slays mikey on his hidden wealth

September 2, 2009 23 comments

key points here:

  • mikey arroyo admits he hid his wealth by declaring the property in the US as owned by a shell company or a dummy. dummy company, not dummy interviewee.
  • mikey refuses to name co-owners of the company that owns the property in the US.winnie monsod slays mikey arroyo on tv
  • mikey is unable to explain that given his salary as a congressman and governor how he was able to amass such capital and wealth.
  • mikey attempts to give an excuse that there was an error from the first filing of his SAL and should ask an  atty. de guzman about it. we want to have  atty. de guzman interviewed in the same show soon!
  • mikey says his wealth was “hindi naman kalakihan yan”. huh? P76M is “hindi naman kalakihan”??? really?
  • monsod says – from P5M to P76M and you were only a vice-governor and congressman. kailangan naman may konting explanation.
  • mikey arroyo — sue me to find out the facts, says ask my lawyers. this is SOP statement of arroyo’s cabinet members.
  • winnie monsod : the burden of proof on the accuracy is on the government employee.
  • mikey arroyo was totally ill-prepared.
  • he does not have the intellectual capacity to answer questions of the sort nor the ability to get out of tight situations. he was totally clueless. he sorely likes IQ, he did at all look smart. he had nothing of it.
  • his position was indefensible.
  • he should have not gone to that interview at all. or if he really was hot on appearing on national tv, he should have brought with him his lawyers. or offered to do a dance number or sing a song.
  • winnie monsod was on fire and to put it simply – brilliant! not even a centimeter did winnie monsod give  mikey to stand on!
  • what the hell was mikey arroyo thinking appearing in that tv show to talk about that? he did not know the topic?
  • the segment title says “one-on-one with igan”, why was winnie monsod in the segment? was mikey arroyo set up? did mikey arroyo know winnie monsod will be there?
  • mikey arroyo was obviously being skinned alive by winnie monsod that arnold clavio probably took pity on him that clavio started to help mikey by volunteering words and thoughts that mikey could not think of. hahaha.

these videos are a MUST-VIEW!

in the videos above, arroyo says a company owns the property. this document says the property is owned by his wife. document received via email.

MANILA, Philippines—Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo may have found himself in deeper trouble following an early morning TV interview about his ballooning net worth and P63.7-million beachfront property in the United States.

Clips of his Tuesday interview with GMA 7’s “Unang Hirit” were uploaded to the video-sharing website YouTube, triggering nasty comments—many of them apparently not fit for newspaper publication—from angry Web users.

One viewer described the lawmaker as “the world’s dum… criminal.”

“(Mikey) sucks at defending himself. If he is in court, he’ll be (cited) for contempt for utter stu…,” another commented.

Another viewer said Mikey “hanged himself on national TV” with the way he explained how his net worth jumped from P5 million in his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) in 2002 to P99 million last year.

“Take note of (his) facial expressions and the tone of his voice. Talagang sinu. . . (He’s really a li…),” one viewer said.

“Another stu… son of a corrupt politician. This is exactly what happens when you have a big f_ _ _ing ego to go on air to show everyone how much assets you try to hide,” said another. “Mikey, isa kang … (you’re st…)!”

The best ka mareng winnie!!! binalatan mo si mikey at walang nagawa kundi maging on the defensive mode. Marend Winnie for senator, lagot ang mga tiwali hehe ;p

Regie :

I can imagine his toes curling as each damning question was being hurled his way and there’s nothing he can do about it but endure, endure, and endure more…

Hahaha! Serves him right…1

Pinay :

how stupid is he? the nerve! still smiling and laughing the entire interview… it’s beyond embarassing that we have the likes of Mikey Arroyo in key government positions. if he can’t even take responsibility for his own SAL, how can he take responsibility for even bigger things?

Rex :

I am so annoyed with his chronic lying. When he said “it is a legal way of teaching us how deal our SALN” in response to Prof. Monsod’s insinuation that he is hiding the asset, I immediately doubted if the business or asset was really legal. He was also saying “as other public officials are doing…”. What are they doing, Mikey? As far as my sense of smell can reach, I believe that many of you are lying in their SALN.

His answers became more clumsy and disturbing when Prof. Winnie Monsod probed him on the increase of his income over a short period of years. He mentioned buying and selling of real estate properties in the states as the cause of the increase. Wasn’t that an admission that He indeed he has a business whether it is in a corporation or not.

He further displays his ignorance when he said that his SALN is “self-explanatory”. FYI It only explains one thing: confusion. When he said his lawyer can explain it further, my nerves would like to explode. For God sake Mikey show some respect on the intelligence of the Filipino People, or to the ordinary govt employee the least. Listen to your Professor Monsod, Mikey. It is your SALN, not your lawyers’. Don’t take it so lightly just because you are the son of the President and has the mechanism to control systems. Govt employees work on their SALN with their sweat and blood. They treat it as a almost a sacred document to keep their commitment on transparency and that they abide by the rules of RA 6713 or Code of Ethics for Govt Officials and Employees.

wawam :

monsod was relentless! she made a point and destroyed everything and anything that mikey arroyo said, each and every point he made. she was just brilliant!

mikey arroyo on the other hand was a total idiot. he was unable to explain anything or even get out of anything. he kept saying one wrong thing after the other. instead of parrying, answering or putting issues to rest, he got himself into deeper trouble in every answer he gave.

this interview should be used in universities as a lesson on how one can look real stupid in a tv interview!

the interview was so much of a disaster for mikey arroyo that igan took pity on him by giving the answers that mikey can’t think of. hahaha

Krystle :

Nakakahiya ka Mikey. Yun lang masasabi ko. Tumatayo balahibo ko sayo at sa pamilya mo.

To Ms. Winnie, keep up the great work.

sadfairy :

Ang galing mo talagang mangisa mareng winnie!!! mabuhay ka talaga grabe saludo ako sayo….
